I can be seen playing my Sadowsky Will Lee Signature 4 & 5-string basses on TV, in the studio and live.

Behind the scenes (and sometimes on the scene), I also play a variety of other basses. In the recording studio each song of a project deserves special treatment, that’s why I play many different axes, sometimes that classic Fender sound is needed.

In addition, I often use these beauties for other sounds & textures: Vintage Höfner Beatle bass, Rickenbacker 4001, D’Angelico hollow body with tapewound strings, Yamaha piccolo bass, and Pedulla Fretless 5 string

I generally string them all up using Sadowsky strings... I also use Hipshot Xtenders on most basses.

I’ve been swearing by this direct box for years: The Khan DI. More recently I’ve been also using the Noble DI. And this baby: The API TranZformer LX Bass

My favorite pedalboard is the Boss GT 10B, which is totally programmable and includes all my favorite effects. I also love with a variety of pedal effects, including those made by ElectroHarmonix.

Back in the studio, I rely on Universal Audio Apollo units like the Solo as my go-to interface. I’ll sometimes even use CEntrance Mixerface and often the Apogee One.
